Overview:

The Lead Instructor will be tasked with running an eight week long in person task. They will be looking over student homework, managing teacher assistants, and making sure all the classes run smoothly. They will resolve any issues the teachers or students have regarding the classes. Lead instructors will need strong leadership and communication skills. They will be expected to know the entire curriculum they are teaching, so they can explain it fully to any students who need help or a teacher who may be confused.

 

Tasks: 

 

• Manage in-class activities and content

• Check student homework

• Make sure classes run smoothly

 

Time commitment: 

 

Classes will take hold during the summer virtually within your library branch. Time commitments vary across branches, but most of the time you will be earning 20+ volunteer hours through teaching and making content for students. Please make sure you are committed throughout the month-long program.
